Alta Lake Residence

A simple, cheaply finished and outdated residence was transformed into one with stature and mass by adding a trellis system, stonework, different roof line, character landscaping, heated driveway, custom siding and fixtures.

Interior finishings such as doors, floors, tiles, & cabinets were completely changed. Upgraded appliances, fixtures and a more efficient heating system bring it to a truly high standard of efficiency and appearance.

The challenges were to integrate the owner's items supplied during construction into the updated and elevated design. The exterior required municipal variances and permits to accomodate stonewalls and driveway changes. It was also a challenge to retrofit efficient heating and cooling systems with minimal visual alterations.
